How I Plan to Plan

How I define "planning" - the act of using a planner - writing in one, sorting one out, making it pretty, adding or removing sections, etc.

With the idea of trying to sort myself out, I figured the best way to do that would be with a planner. A place to keep all my to-dos and chores, any ideas and longer-term plans. I was doing this in a full-sized binder for a while, but it was too big and bulky to use other than at home. It worked out all right, I suppose, but it just wasn't right.

I've been wanting a "real" planner for a while (something fancy, I suppose you would say - fancier than a plain binder, anyway!) but they're a bit too expensive for my liking, especially considering I'm not even sure how useful it would be, or how much I would actually use it.
Instead, I figured a half-size binder would be suitable.

The half size is, well, sized to hold a half-letter piece of paper, so the paper's measurements are 5.5 x 8.5. And, for now, it seems that it will be perfect.

I've been collecting printables on Pinterest for a while now, and printed out a few to start with.
The Birthday & Anniversary Calendar had to be resized, since it's 8.5 x 11, but that was easy enough - scale down by 50% and rotate. I also edited the Income Register text so that it reads more like an expense tracker.

Now I'm at the no fun point in the process of moving the information that I had all strewn about into this binder and trying to make it all make sense.

My printer only prints in black and white, which means that all of the greatly colored printables won't be so colorful once they are in my hands. However. once I get everything sorted, I have plenty of markers, washi tapes, and colored papers to remedy that! That's the next steps, as well as finding more and more printables to put into it. I have the need for a cleaning schedule, to-do lists beyond the weekly planner, a contact list.

If you have any recommendations, I'd love to hear about it!
