The Mush-Less Valentine Collection

Because while the overly large hearts and "xoxo" pictures and "I love you SO MUCH" things are cute, they aren't really...right.
Well, for me anyway.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Mister very much. But we are not the mushy type. At all.
So the normal Valentine sentiments just don't work for us.

I figured there had to be at least three other people online who felt the same about it, so I took to Pinterest to see what could be found.
And I'm so very glad I did!

First, something for little people. Or, people who like Star Wars.
We're in that second group.

Second, something realistic. It wouldn't even need to be heart-shaped pizza, I promise.
It would need to be the right variety, though - pepperoni and pineapple, please!

Sometimes, honesty is brutal. Just know that this sentence technically works both ways - for you to them, and them to you!

Less gross and mean, and much more romantic...in a certain way. There's a heart involved, at least!
Though I'm pretty sure a heart-shaped D20 wouldn't give you great results! (This one actually comes from a Buzzfeed article for 19 things only RPG fans will understand - quite funny, if you need a laugh...and are an RPG fan...)

And lastly, a collection of cards - that you can print out yourself even!
I showed the Mister this one...and he didn't think it was quite as funny as I did.

I had quite a good time finding these. Give "snarky valentine" a search on Pinterest, and entertain yourself for an hour or so - I highly recommend it.

So Happy Valentine's Day on Saturday, guys.
May you get pizza AND chocolate!

  1. Brilliant! Thanks for these - I'm torn between "You repulse me the least" and "my favourite husband".

  2. I'm quite fond of the "you repulse me the least" one, simply because it's an odd way of being so very true!
    Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Have you come across the fashion for acerbic/ironic cross stitch? I love it even though I have discovered that cross stitch is not my craft x

  4. If you mean the cross stitch projects that involve filthy slang and things like "Don't do coke in the bathroom" then, yes. And I love them dearly. Haven't done any of them myself yet, but I do enjoy cross stitch even if it takes me far too long to finish a project!!
