She has a scripture journal, and has put a lot of time into figuring it out, what best way to use it, inserts for it, etc. The hard part is that she doesn't actually use it. Finding time, for her, to read and study the scriptures is difficult.
I thought that maybe having something inside to be a bit more colorful than black and white pages would be helpful. I know that I am more inclined to use my planner now that I'm getting the right kind of pages inside, and am more likely to want to spend time with things that I enjoy.
Some cardstock, a printable, some washi tape, and some stickers later...I ended up with a dashboard for her scripture journal (which is the same kind of binder I use as a planner).
The verse seemed fitting, as she was (and is) going through some personal struggles at home. I saw the verse on Pinterest, and thought it would be perfect for what I was setting out to do.
In order to make this, I had to download a few free fonts from 1001 Free Fonts and import them into LibreOffice, which was easy enough, and then it was ready to go. I also do not have a color printer, which is there is so much decoration elsewhere on the page! I have, however, tested it, and it does print well onto patterned scrapbook paper.
It is in PDF format, and in order to make sure that it prints in 5.5 x 8.5 size, please make sure that your printer settings for the document are set to "no scale", however that setting may appear on your printer settings - the PDF is made in 5.5 x 8.5 size already.
Please do not distribute this as your own work.
Do you keep any favorite or helpful scriptures close at hand?
