I'm not really sure, and I'm alright with that because I cannot wait to start on my goals for 2015!
No seriously. I've actually already started on some.
Is that bad? I hope not!
I am ready. I am planned. I am excited even.
I have never been this pumped up for a new year in my whole life. 2015 will be MINE. I hope each and every one of you can feel that way as well!
This week I want to talk a bit about starting into the new year with enthusiasm and spunk. To be jazzed and remember (before February!) that writing the date now includes 2015 instead of 2014 - I'm always horrible at this, and it's always until just about February that I get that down!
First on the list - The Goals.
If you haven't already, write them down! I started a 'brain dump' of things I wanted to accomplish for the year in my Moleskine journal, and then transferred them over to my goal planning worksheets (and added a few more to the list!).
I planned out some of the loftier ideas, wrote out a few for habit tracking purposes, and planned for the month of January and what I wanted to be working on specifically.
And I've been counting down to 2015 since!
But, I also realize that just writing everything down isn't going to actually help me do anything. This is why I created the worksheets, and why I've (somehow) spent so much time on this little project.
I know that if I don't keep myself accountable, I will fall off the bandwagon.
I know that if I set my list of goals off in a notebook somewhere, I won't think about them. I know that if I am just hopeful and not proactive, nothing will get done.
My bad habits keep me in ruts. My good habits can help me get out of those ruts, I just have to put the effort in.
So, I've set myself up for success - or at least I hope I have!
My goal worksheets are printed on green printer paper. Nothing else in my planner is printed in green, except for these pages.
I've got a whole section in my planner just for my goals and anything that is associated with them. This section is right after my calendar/daily section, so it's close at hand.
There are two top tabs in this section - one Target page flag for the list of goals itself, and 1 ribbon-bow paperclip for the habit tracking page.
And some floral washi, because why not?
I have never been more ready in my life.
I feel like I've got all my school supplies sorted into my backpack, my name on everything, my pens and pencils set up just so in my pencil-case, and school doesn't start for a whole week! [Or maybe I'm the only one that got excited about school! ]So far as the goals themselves...
With so many things to work on, I'm a bit frazzled.
And then I realize that a lot of them connect with each other or build upon themselves.
And then I realize that I should have started on this years ago anyway, so it's a bit too late to be saying that it's "too much".
Seriously, guys, I am pumped for 2015.
So much so, I even ate soup last night. And I don't even like soup (generally speaking)! More on that later in the week, but the idea is there - I need to just dive in. Baby steps, of course, but dive.
Okay maybe more like a big splash. With arm-floaties. Whatever it's called, I hope you're feeling the same way!

PS. Feel free to try to have eagle-eyes or crazy super awesome vision (or just click each image to make it larger) to see what I'm working on, if you feel like it.
But most of it will be documented here at some point in the year anyway, so don't get too ahead of yourself!
I love the look of your habit tracker - such a good idea! I wish you all the best for the new year x
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! It was a bit of math figuring out how to get it to work for any month of the year, but I'm hopeful it will do!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by! And sending good wishes for your 2015 as well!
All the best for the new year and here's to an epic 2015! I am pretty excited too :-)
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm glad I'm not the only one! :) 2015 shall, indeed, be epic!! :D
ReplyDeleteI love how organized you are! And I am so excited about 2015, too--a new, fresh start! ♡

Ha, I wish I was organized! My planner is about as organized as I get, honestly. I know that if I want to get anything done, I have to write it out and keep it in sight. I'm rather good at putting things off if I don't 'remember' them, ha!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!!
