A New Set Up for Mr. Finsbury

A New Set Up for Mr. Finsbury | Anxiously Being Havok

I did a thing. Like, with video. And it's on YouTube.
No, really! It only took me two months after buying a camera, but I did it!
And as I noted on the video notes, please excuse the weird lighting - the sun is my friend, but only somewhat!

If you don't feel like watching, I don't blame you - and I will cut to the chase.

Mr. Finsbury is new and awesome!
And all sorts of rearranged!

A quick recap:

Forward Planning: The Month on 2 Page is from My Life All In One Place, and I just changed the font. The original file can be found here and the font I used is called All Things Pink which can be found here.

Bullet Journal: The graph paper is a combination of Filofax graph paper and regular graph paper I cut to size and hole punched - I thought about printing some, and then remembered I had a stash of graph paper already, so I went that route.

Reoccurring Task List: The Week on 1 Page is of my own creation, and can be found here. Please, personal use only - and let me know how you like it!

Goal Section: The Goal Worksheets are a previous download, and that post can be found here

Meal Planning: The Month on 1 Page is from Philofaxy, and I just changed the font to All Things Pink (it's one of my go-to fonts!) and took out the boxes around the dates. The original can be found here and is called "Monthly Planner Dated".

I love this set up. It works. The only reason it appears that it hasn't been is of user error, not system error!

It's not a beautiful system, but full of hastily made daily lists, and that (again) is user error. If I were to be putting more time into it, it would be less crazy-looking!

Any suggestions? And any ways to make everything, well, prettier? I'd love to know!
And of course, any tips on better videos are always welcome!

  1. Really enjoyed the setup. I can relate. Lists and list I make, good tip to use the two colored pens to show what you actually got done.

    1. Thank you so much!!
I adore lists, but don't always get everything done, so using the different colors comes in handy rather often!

  3. I love your setup! Love the idea of using contact paper and then cutting slits-- seriously efficient :)
Sometimes I end up not using my planner at all, because I'm so unmotivated! It helps to remember what was my point of buying a planner or stationary, etc and how I felt it would help me stay organized. And if you ever feel too overwhelmed by your system--hey, I have a basic month-on-two but I still manage to feel too unmotivated sometimes--it doesn't hurt to go back to basics! When I took a "break" from my usual planning I used a regular notebook and pen and just wrote out daily tasks. When I missed my planner, I went back to it again. :)

This was a great video! Mr. Finsbury's cover is 😍 and I love how you explained everything so well--gives me a few ideas for the next planner I get! xx

    1. So very glad you enjoyed it and got a few ideas from it! That's exactly what I was hoping to do! :)
I think that something I struggle with, and that you mentioned, is trying to remember why I have all this stuff in the first place! Most of the time, when I fall into that train of thought, it leads to guilt (that I'm not using it) versus inspiration (that it should be helpful to me, not a thing to cause distress)!
Thanks so much for watching! :D
