That can mean whatever you want it to mean, but it's true. If you're going to be able to use your planner as often as necessary for it to be useful, you do kind of actually have to like using it.
And its hard to love it if it isn't beautiful!
I'm not quite done making my planner beautiful, but it's gotten huge improvements in the past few days!
My cover is a printable I found thanks to Pinterest, and then colored with marker, glued to some cardstock, and added some washi tape. The quote is hopeful to me, and suggests that all of your efforts matter, even if they don't seem like they do; that there is no shame in not finishing that giant project in a day.
These are my two dashboard, the pink in the front, and the grey with mushrooms in the back (which is actually a pocket). I used a thin paperboard frozen pizza box as the base, and then added scrapbook paper and cardstock and colored ducktape.
I haven't found anything awesome enough to put on the front dashboard, so it will be staying bright and pink for now.
You can also see my tabs in the top dashboard picture. They are just cardstock cut to the right size, and then I punched holes in them.
I also made two of these green bookmarks, out of scrapbook paper and contact paper. They're not very sturdy - they could have benefited from some of that pizza box as well!
I also have some of those adorable page flags from the Target dollar spot floating around, but haven't found anything amazingly useful for them yet. But they're cute, so they'll be used for something at some point, I assure you!
I'm still working out what exactly to name each tab, and if I need more than five or not, but for now its working great for me, and it just makes me feel even more productive. Its a lovely thing!
How do you decorate your planner? What are your favorite products to use?
