"Sail the Seas of Life" Printable

A few weeks back, I shared a PDF file that I made for my Mom's scripture journal.
Today, I have another!

The church that I keep saying I'm going back to has something called General Conference twice a year. It takes place over the span of a weekend, and involves the leaders of the church giving talks on chosen topics which are meant to help guide us with "inspiration and instruction" ("What is General Conference")

I had missed the live broadcast in October, but knew I needed to read the entirety of the talks, because quotes from so many of them were all over Pinterest. Especially right after Conference - apparently, there are a lot of Mormons on Pinterest, and they're very crafty people! Seeing so many good quotes from so many of the church leaders, how could I say no to reading them all?

I came to a talk called "Guided Safely Home" by President Thomas S. Monson that made me feel the need to make another scripture journal page.

And this is what I ended up doing with it:

I wanted bright and happy colors, because it is a bright and happy kind of quote! I cut a piece of purple cardstock out for the back, glued it together, and contact-paper-ed it together (since I don't have a laminator).

It is in a 5.5x8.5 size, and is available for download HERE if you are interested.

I find that having a more decorative environment to write in to be helpful in actually wanting to spend the time journaling. Pages covered in writing are nice and all, but a bit of extra color is always welcome in my books!
Do you add anything to your journals (scripture or otherwise)?

  1. That's a lovely quote and what you did with the print out is so pretty. I think I need to get more creative with dividers and inspirational quote pages on my planner.

  2. Thank you so much! I realize its not anywhere near the awesomest thing ever, but as a gift for mom, it's quite good, ha! Mom's are awesome like that xD

I am looking to have an "inspiration" section, so to speak, in Mr. Finsbury, I just haven't started on it yet. Pinterest is a nice place to find quotes and save for later, but they do me no good when I'm not there!
