Spring!

It's Spring!
Well, allegedly Spring. Where I am (the lovely PNW), it's been Spring feeling for the past month or so.
However, with it officially being that time of the year, it makes me think towards SUNSHINE.

I love the sun. The sun doesn't love me (hello, sunburns!), but I love it anyway.
Now, I don't love it when it gets to be 100 degrees or something, simply because no houses here are built to handle that kind of heat.
But I love the sun.

It's so bright and happy. And not wet. And sunglasses. And flip flops. And awesome t-shirts not hidden by jackets. And tank tops. And going out on the motorcycle. And leaving the back door open. And driving with the windows down.
So! Many! Things!

And that makes me oh so happy.

It also makes me think of what I would want for summer this year.
Such as new summer shoes. And new t-shirts (because, being honest, I don't want to wear Star Wars and Batman every day). And some bright nail polish and cute purses. And for some reason I'm dreaming of skirts and dresses (though neither ever fit right, the dreams are nice!).

And all that makes me think of my closet.
Ohhh, the closet.

It's not so bad, right?
Keep in mind, I have two loads of laundry to fold, so I do have more shirts, I promise!
But, I mean, it could be worse...right?

Yeah, I have the "worse!"

At least for the yarn I have half an excuse - I swapped out one of the 3-drawer Sterilite bins that I had my yarn in to be a next-to-my-desk shelf (which is working fabulously!) but I haven't redone any of my yarn storage, so it all got tossed into the closet so the dogs couldn't get into it.
So far as everything else (at least what's on the right-hand side), there is no excuse other than I only see the mess when I'm in the closet.

The left side is the Mister's, and, well, it's a lot of computer bits and cords and whatnots.
Oh, and a 40 gallon fish tank and all the accessories, because all the fishes died (a year ago) and he doesn't want to set it up again until we have a house to do it in.
Oh, and at least two guitars.
And his work clothes hanging up on that side as well.

And just one more. For full effect, you know?

And as I'm looking at it, yes, there is a TON of wasted space on those shelves.
Except, I'm 5'4". And the corner bit is not useful to me, unless I had a stool (not even taking into account the stuff that's on the floor).
And they are rather short shelves. The plastic tote on the far right up on the shelf is one of those 99 cent Sterilite "shoe boxes" (my shoes wouldn't fit in there, but whatever) and it sticks off the edge. So not the best shelves in the world.

But, it's Spring!
And I want to be able to choose a pretty shirt (that I don't have yet, mind you!) without having to stand on tip-toes and reach the hangers. And, I'd like to, well, just go through everything. It's time.

Let's be honest, though...it's been time. Story of my life it seems!
In reality, it needs to be done. Part of the reason I haven't folded those two loads of laundry I spoke of earlier is because I kind of hate going into the closet right now. I avoid it as much as I can (for obvious reasons).
But, the reasons to fix it up are rather compelling - Spring and Summer clothes, of course!

Now that it's Spring, what are you most looking forward to?

    1. Oh I wish you could - I'm going to need someone to keep me on track!!
I love the being outside part, especially getting to be outside later and later - I'm not a fan of it being dark out before 5pm!
Thank you so much for stopping by! :)

    1. ...let's not forget that I (purposefully) didn't take any photos of the Mister's side of things. The piles are chest high!
I'm looking forward to the fresh feeling as well. It gets really stuffy here in the winter months. Everything is just cooped up for so long, everyone needs fresh air come nice weather!
      Thanks for stopping by! :)
